Atomiswave issues
« on: April 25, 2020, 07:27:01 pm »
Hello all,
I am new to the forum and back in December I purchased and Atomiswave. It worked mostly fine, every once and a while buttons would stay pressed without me touching, but eventually they stopped. But about a month ago the shot 5 button was staying pressed and there was nothing I could do about it. I knew atomiswaves often had the error of the diodes for the buttons going bad, so i just wired around the diodes instead. It worked great at first, but there was a strange issue where now the sound was garbage. I never changed the fan, but now the sound was just buzzing and not constant buzzing either. I then let my atomiswave sit out for a bit before I plugged it back in, but no there are even more issues arising. No, even though I know the buttons are not shorting, even ever I press any button, almost all the buttons act as if they are pressed. Also, many buttons just turn on and off at random rates no. Also, no matter where I set the dip switch, one of two things happens. First, with some games it just says coin error then resets itself. With other games it just force boots into the service menu and won't let you play the game, even if you exit the menu. Is there any idea if this is common at all, and if so is there an easy fix, or someone I could sent it to to make sure its fixed? Also, I know that the supermen is not the issue, as using it with my Hyper 64 it works fine. That you for any help.

Here is a video of the buzzing: https://drive.google.com/file/d/16D2B2XXjPDjbttpnnKuNMGyjBZd6gFyu/view?usp=sharing

Again thank you for any help,
Evan
