GameEx not playing N64 ROMs

Can play them all directly though P64 without issue & my USB controller works fine, but some games won't play if I go through GameEx & no games will recognize my controller inputs through GameEx. What gives?

More info is required. Do the games launch and then you have no control? Do you just get a black screen on P64? Does P64 crash altogether?

The hardest part of any build for me is getting it past "playable". Once I get that far it's way too hard to just play the damned thing.
