Super Pac-Man graphics issue
« on: February 16, 2020, 10:34:17 pm »
Reviving a dormant Super Pac-Man upright that had a dead monitor or chassis. Monitor not worth using as it has pretty severe burned in images. Just to check function, had it working using an old Dell LCD and GBS-8200 video converter, but then ran into video board RAM error detected at boot up. Replaced several RAM chips and had it working again, but after a few weeks, motion characters now have vertical stripes (see pic). Static images (maze, fruits at screen bottom indicating level achieved) appear to be unaffected. Reseated character ROMs, but no change. Game play is fine.

Anyone seen this before?
