  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Vertical orientated geometry.
« on: January 29, 2020, 11:29:04 am »
Ive battled with crtemudriver and groovymame on a 21'' crt,ive realised theres a bit of compromise that has to be accepted and am finally happy with what ive managed to achieve.
Ive now embarked on a new painful journey setting up a little 14'' portable tv for a vertical game setup.im just curious about vertical geometry and how that is adjusted now that the tvs vertical menu settings are now the games width. How best do you tackle vertical issues?
Also is adjusting mames video sliders a real no-no when using groovymame? Ive set up a fresh pc build and most games need only slight adjustment with sliders to look bob on. i havent touched arcade osd yet except to find min and max hfreq, and was hoping id got lucky with this tv only needing a tweak.
Im going to keep on reading up as i did for my horizontal build, but anyone have a quick bit of advice?
