Fixed the board, now I need help on how to put it back in :\
« on: February 16, 2004, 04:56:26 pm »
Well the good news is that I think I got this board fixed!
Bad news is that I forgot how to put it back on the monitor, I had all the instructions written down from when I took it apart but I lost it ;\.
My main problem is the two wires that hook up from the metal wire that wrapps around the screen and goes into the board, one is red and one is black.
Anyways, the board is a Kortek (K1-2-VO) and the only possible plugs I see that it can goto are marked as (E) (AC) (D-COIL) (V) (H) B, (V) (H) A
I assume the black wire that looks like a ground would connect to E since it's the only single wire with a single connector.
I 'THINK' the red might goto AC, but not sure.
Thanks for all the help that got me to this point.

Can you post a picture of the 'wires' you are trying to hook up?

Here's the first pic, the red is double female end and the black is single.
The black wire connects to a steel wire that wraps around the outer edge of the monitor.

In the first picture the red wires at the far right is the degausser coil and should be plugged into the connector marked "D coil". The single black wire goes to the "E" terminal on the neck board. The 4 pin Yoke connector can be plugged into either one of the side-by-side male yoke pin header on the main monitor board. One of the connectors will make the picture display correctly while the other one will make the picture display as a mirror image (picture will be left-right reversed and upside down).

Second picture does look like an AC power cord.
