Possible to convert Jaleco Argus Cabinet to JAMMA?
« on: November 10, 2019, 11:50:40 am »
Hi there!

I am considering purchasing a Jaleco Argus  cabinet but my intention is to ultimately convert it for use with a PC/Mame or other JAMMA PCB.
So, I was wondering - is it possible to convert any arcade machine into a JAMMA capable one?
Is it just a case of wiring up  a JAMMA loom and bang, job done?

Really need to know soon!

Cheers!

CAN you easily convert almost any cab into a JAMMA capable cab using a replacement JAMMA harness?
- Yes.

SHOULD you convert THIS cab into a JAMMA capable cab?
- KLOV listing here indicates that this is an uncommon cab.
-- That doesn't mean it is valuable, just that there aren't many of them around.
-- If it is an original dedicated cab, please take some good photos and submit them to KLOV, gamesdatabase, progetto snaps, etc.

- If you do decide to convert it, please stick to modifications that can be easily and fully reversed.  "Don't maim for MAME."   ;D
