hardware stetching problems
« on: February 15, 2004, 01:12:33 am »
Hi.  I was hoping you all could help me out.  I'm running mame60 in msdos7 (extracted from win98) and using a ATI Rage Pro Turbo PCI card.  I have strech enabled in mame.cfg and I'm running arcadeos for my front end.  On horizontal games such as mk I still have black at the edges of the screen (using a pc monitor).  Why are the games not stretching?  Is there something else I need to enable.  Thanks in advance!

I was hoping someone had my same problem.  I tried a different monitor and it does the same thing.  I can use the knob on the monitor to stretch the screen but then when I go back to AOS it's stretched past the screen so you have to readjust the knob.  When everyone on here uses hardware stretching does it fill your entire screen like the arcades?  I'm just curious what I should do.  Any suggestions on dos video cards?  Please if you can lend a hand I'm desperate.  I'm clueless when in comes to video stuff.  Thanks so much!
