Create 640 x 480 59.17 Refresh Desktop Video Mode for Arcade OSD
« on: September 24, 2019, 09:02:25 pm »
So I'm messing around with Arcade OSD outside of MAME, and what I want to do is create a desktop video mode in arcade OSD of 640 x 480 with a refresh of 59.17. I've tried using VMMaker and edit mode in OSD, but I can't seem to be able to create a custom video mode with the refresh of 59.17. I get the feeling this is completely possible, but I don't seem to be able to figure out the steps. Could someone help me out?

Cheers!

In VMMaker, just switch from dynamic mode table to static mode table, it's in the settings tab. That will allow you to set a specific refresh, otherwise VMMaker just promotes everything to default 60 Hz expecting the actual refresh will be adjusted dynamically by GM.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.
