My girlfriend belives its unfair that guys have to do all the buying and stuff for valentines day. so shes coming to my house and making me a nice dinner for my present since she has no cash (college sucks). And i got her a necklace she pointed out when we were in the mall like 3 months ago, shell probably be shocked i remembered hehe, brownie points

and Ill probably make something cool for desert, chocolate will be involved cause she loves chocolate. and ill prolly pick up some roses at the food store for liek 15$, theyre actually not bad.

so whats everyone else doing?

Had flowers sent to girlfriend at work, dosen roses in vase, $80.
Going to Victoria's Secret tonight to pick up.... something.... $60-$100.
Going to Boston for the weekend, staying in 4 star hotel.... $150

(I sound like a mastercard commercial..)

My girlfriend says that valentine's no big deal because I show my love all year round (aaawww). But I think I made her feel a little guilty because I took her out last weekend on a mini-vacation up in Maine to a sweet hotel with a jacuzzi and fireplace. Maybe I'll get something this year?

and for me..... I'm going to join a couple other couples together that day... taking the girls to a cheapy off bway-kinda-like show.... then us guys will cook dinner for them....

Bought her a pair of gold ear rings, having flowers delivered tomorrow, picked up a Nora Jones CD (she really likes her), and going to a hotel and ordering room service (so we don't have to fight the crowds at any of the resteraunts like we did last year)...Still need to go out tonight and find one more thing...not sure what, guess I'll be doing some last minute shopping along with all the other guys

im only 19 though, and my woman isnt about gifts and that type of thing, but it would be nice to bust out a bunch of stuff and be like oh yeah were going to this hotel too. oh well... soon enough

Then do something unique to just you. My girlfriend is like one described above...not all about v-day. But I've been learning a song on my guitar and am going to play/sing for her after a nice small dinner somewhere. Much more romantic than $$ gifts. Then again my girlfriend is low maintenance (woohoo!).

I got the day off and she didn't

. As she won't get home until after 11pm, I was thinkin about having a fondue thing ready for her or something when she gets home (cuz, ya know, chicks seem to dig all that pain in the arse wine involving stuff).

my girl and I are getting together with like 3 or 4 other couples, plus some other friends and go out bowling....have some drinks and have a blast!

My wife was about 3 months or so pregnant last year, so when I wasn't helping her hold her hair while she hurled, I was making her dinner, and then the big one... you must do this because she is undoubtedly tired and sore... give a massage. Not one of those crappy, 3 minutes rubbing her shoulders sort of thing, but the full body, from her toes all the way up to her head massages. She will love you immensely for it, I promise.

This is also something you broke guys can do as well, and hey, when doesn't a massage lead on to other things?

There's absolutely nothign to be afraid of in there. Just make sure you know her size(s), that's the key. If you get her somehting too small, she'll feel she doesn't look good in it, and won't wear it. Too large and she might get offended that you think she's that big. I've found that I get the best smileage out of something that's more comfortable for her to wear, rather than something that looks like it's out of a fetish film. Satin pajamas are major winners, they feel great and she'll wear them a lot, rather than on one ro two special occasions a year.

My wife and I had a very nice Vday, we went ot her gym to work out (it's a women's only gym, but on vday they have "sweatin' with your sweetie" were spouses and significant others are welcome. After that we watched our wedding video together in front of the fire, followed by a dinner I made of homemade french onion soup and lobster tails.

Ok

I know I am checking in late but...here is what we did.

My mother in-law offered to take our son for the day and overnight, we didn't even ask.

We didn't know what to do....no kid cool ...
Well she had a appointment to get her hair done, and when she came back the weather here has almost been spring like and with me talking about mame for the last month and a half she suggested we go play some classic video games down at the beach and then take a walk on the beach . Well being in New ENgland by the time we got there it was too cold to take the walk but we did play some classic games like ms.pac-man , galaga, centipede and some others .

Did I make you guys jealous yet.... well we played so long that it was too late for me to start cooking the romantic diner I promised her so we got some take-out itialian food .

Then it was movie time ...I let her pick ...oh no! can you say chick flick...NOT!. My wife loves horror flicks ...we ended up watching jeepers creepers

Moral of the story ...It was happy Valentines day to me ! All about the man in this situation

We decided to take it easy this year (read: we're broke). Visited the local arcade at the Santa Cruz boardwalk (wasn't even my idea, can you believe this woman?), ate corndogs and and took a spin up the coast to a beach we used to spend a lot of time at.

I drove a 500 mile round trip to pick up 2 games (Popeye and Gorf), and then later picked out a Valentine's Day card for my attempted girlfried, whom I figured I would see the next day, except I found out she was out of town, so I gave the card to her mom to give to her. =(

It's been 2 1/2 years since my last visit there.

lol, you shoulda got her flowers or something if youre trying to get her. although a popeye machine is a big thing
