Well, after having my first MAME cab for 2 years now, I've decided to make a 2nd cab with some of the things I miss from the first.
My first cab was a NeoGeo MVS cab and, although I loved it, I wanted to be able to play 4 player games and my wife wanted to be able to play MK and SF2 and the like. So, that cabinet's going to go and be replaced by "Gamenstein."
I was thinking about naming the machine "Mamenstein" but it's going to play Genesis, NES, PSX, SNES, TG-16, Mame and Atari games (all the consoles will use original controllers -- except for TG-16). So, it's going to have a "Frankenstein" quality to it and it's going to play more than MAME games, so "Gamenstein" it is (if someone wants to use "Mamenstein" go right ahead

)
As I said, it's going to be a 4 player, built-from-scratch cabinet with a 27" TV for the monitor (I've already got the TV and I love it in the tests I've done, so don't try to get me to spend $500 for an arcade monitor!). I'm working on the software end of things (getting my games in order and my front end set up, etc) now as it's too cold for me to begin the hardware work in the garage (I live in WI).
I've already got the Sega Genesis controlers hacked to work with my IPAC, the SNES controllers are the next to go under the knife.
I'll post pictures as I get them.
