unzip.exe alternative??
« on: February 12, 2004, 07:38:30 pm »
Hi all!  I know you all are getting tired of me already but I really do appreciate all the help I've been getting.  I'm now running pure dos 7 (used getdos7.bat).  So I can't use unzip.exe because it says it can't run in dos mode. So I've been using pkunzip to uncompress the mame dos verion files.  Everything has worked fine until I unzip mame itself which gives me tons of errors and says to use pkzipfix which I did and it acts like everything's fine.  But when I type make MAMEOS=msdos it crashes everytime and says something along the lines of "make.exe no rule to make target".  So my question is what can I do?  Is it because I'm using pkunzip instead of unzip.exe?  If so is there any alternative to unzip.exe?  Please help me out I'm dying to play some games :)  Thanks a lot!

Just to let everyone know I ended up downloading a different version of unzip.exe from another website that ended up working under msdos.  The one off of mame.net wouldn't work for me.  I just thought I'd post this in case someone else had the same problem.  Thanks everybody.
