OK, I've booked a room and purchased a ticket....and my wife has officially identified me as a geek.

Is anyone else going????

Here's their link if you don't know what the heck I'm taking about!:

OK, OK, it's a totally geek fest....but I think it may still be fun. If it sucks....I'll high tail it outta' there early on Sunday morning. Besides.....I'm sure there are some "gentleman's" clubs in the area if the convention sucks.....
 :o
Seriously. Will it fit in my basement or what?

You east coast-ers get all the cool stuff!  The northwest has almost nothing in comparison... *sigh*

let us know how it goes, and I really want to see that custome arcade that guy is building.

I went in 2002.  It was great.  I spent the whole weekend in the arcade section playing Baby Pacman, Star Wars sitdown and Spy Hunter  (plus a play or 2 on most of the other 25 or so classic games.)  :D

They also have tons of console stuff too.

...wow 15 min. I have a 2.5 hour drive!....enjoy the show.

I've never been there...I hope it's worth the drive and hotel!

Last year I drove 2.5-3 hours each way to go.... it was maybe worth it.... but it certainly is not worth a hotel stay IMHO.  THere were a few gems amoung the dealers and the games... but by and large I didn't think it justified a huge trip or anything.  I have not decided if I will go this time... depends on if I am free, etc...

....yeah I figured as such (not worth the overnight stay); but I'm not sure if I'll feel like doing the 5 hour round trip......

.....as of now, I'm staying in the Hilton for only $10.00 more than they've listed the "special convention" rate at the Radisson for $79.00 per night.

If any one is interested you can get a "web rate" for the Hilton about 4.5 miles from the convention center for $89.00.

yeah now that i think about it im not sure if im going to waste money on the hotel thing. I only live like an hour and 20 min away, was kinda just doing it for conveinience but when i think about it theres better things i can think of spending 90$ on ya know. Im definately going though, probably drive up early saturday morning, what day is everyone planning on going?
