  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Hi Guys,
I'm in the process of restoring a Ridge Racer Deluxe Cab, it has a 33 inch Hantarex polo in it. The intention is to use GroovyMame for Ridge Racer and a few select other titles.

I need a VGA breakout cable, on the ultimarc site there are two options one plain cable and one with a video amplifier http://www.ultimarc.com/vidamp.html

I've mailed ultimarc who've said if the Hantarex is standard resolution which I believe it is,  15Khz only, then the amplifier is likely needed.

I was just after some real world experiences does anyone have a Hantarex polo monitor and can confirm the best option (I'd like to get the best picture possible) is to get the cable with video amplifier ?

Thanks

Would it hurt to have an amp and not need it? The jpac has one built in. Might consider that as well.
