Well, I've run into the first hitch in my cabinet building project. My TV is too deep for the cabinet. If I put it on a completely level shelf, it touches the plexiglas monitor shield and the back door. Therefore, if I angle it at all (like how the original monitor was), it will have to stick out the back of the cabinet. I shined a flashlight into the vents on the back of the TV to see if taking off the case would help any, but it only seems to give me about half an inch more to work with. A smaller TV isn't really an option, as this is a 20-inch TV, and all of the 19-20 inch TVs that I've looked at are within half an inch of this one in depth.
So, what does everyone suggest? Do I keep the TV on a level shelf, and have it practically touching the plexiglas, or do I angle it and have it sticking out the back?
