i hope this isn't a dumb question, or not for this board...

i got a cd from a freind of mine with genesis roms on it of old games i played when i was younger. what does all the stuff at the end of a rom name mean? such as....
Knuckles Chaotix 32X (5) [!].zip

whats with the (5) and [!]? i have seen others such as (JUE) or (J). any info?
- just say no to capitol letters -

Those roms were named using the Good Tools.
