Select use of shaders in Mame .189?
« on: September 23, 2017, 10:58:23 am »
Hey All,

I really like the shaders on games like Donkey Kong, Pac Man, etc., however, it doesn't look right on some newer games.  Is there a way to selectively use shaders in .189?  Or do I have to run two instances of .189, one with shaders and one without?

Launch MAME with -video bgfx. Then simply TAB into slider controls and find option Window 0, Screen 0 Effect:

You can cycle through different effect while the emulation is running with the left and right arrow keys.

Thanks for replying.  This method wouldn't allow selective use of shaders, correct?  I don't want to have to mess with shaders for every game load from my frontend.
