LED Blinky query
« on: June 12, 2017, 12:38:02 pm »
Hi all

I use led blinky with hyperspin and mame,  all works ok, apart from one small issue..

when people play on my cab,  they tend to press the start game button (enter) to launch a game several times instead of just the once!  This drives me mad, as then,  LED Blinky does it's usual flashing sequence and speaks the primary controls as it does ok as the rom loads, but because they've pressed the start button loads of times LED Blinky does this over and over again, however many times they've pressed it!

Has anyone had this? And if so, any idea how I stop it?

Ice contaced the LED Blinky support and they said to look at posting something on the HS forum as they've got no idea.

The solution as figured out by Martin0037 was to use the LEDBlinky Game Start Delay (10 seconds). I had never considered this but it makes sense; LEDBlinky queues up the messages from HS, but by using a startup delay, each redundant Game Start event just restarts the timer, effectively killing all but the last occurrence.
Robots will kill you.

The multiple pressing always a common for users. Good to hear the simple solution.
