MAMEUI64 & Mapping keys in the UI, not MAME game
« on: February 03, 2017, 08:54:50 am »
Hi All

I'm happily using my new X-Arcade Tankstick with MAMEUI64 and can move up and down the list of games but can't find a button on the X-Arcade that launches the highlighted game.

So I want to map one of the existing key on the X-Arcade to launch the highlighted game.

Player1 button seems a good choice but I can't find that right file to amend with KEYCODE_1. I've added it to numerous places but no joy :-(

I've been putting in:

ui_key_start KEYCODE_1

...in the MAMEUI.ini file and I have proved that the Player1 button returns '1' by testing it in my Notepad (and it works in MAME games), but it doesn't work.

Maybe 'ui_key_start' is not the game launcher?

I also change it to KEYCODE_UP and was expecting a game to launch when I moved the joystick up or pressed cursor up but that didn't launch either! So maybe it's not 'ui_key_start' to launch.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mark
