Ya, the G400 has a few querks. It doesn't support pclocks lower than 7, which is maybe why you had problems with it. It also doesn't restore the previous modes correctly. Recent changes to advancemame, however, have made this problematic for a lot of older cards though. While it's no big deal, it can be kind of annoying. ATI's Rage 128 pro cards have a tendancy to kick you out to the command line if you tinker with a modeline too much in the advv.exe utility. Trident's blade doesn't have either of these two loveable problems, which is why I usually recommend it first. The only thing I don't like about the T64 is its linux support. Though there has been some recent modifications to the svgalib driver for this card that are quite astounding, the newer driver is still not as good as the older more stable vbeline driver, especially at 15kHz. I figure when the svgalib driver is running perfectly, this card will be ready for linux. which I'm hoping won't be too long from now.
