Just in time!  My setup isn't working at all with all these rapid releases and I need that advmame.rc file!

Thanks!

If you're using a trident blade t64 you will need to run reconfig after you update your system.  This is because the configuration options for this card have been changed.

device_video auto has changed to device_video vbeline vgaline for this card

Note, this configuration is required for both advancemame and advancemenu.  The config files on my site are for a Rage128 Pro so beware if using these.  When doubt just use the reconfig utility.  My cab uses the exact same config file that reconfig generates.

Hey, when did you dump the Trident Blade T64?  Do you find that the Rage works better?  I haven't run reconfig yet but everything seems to be working perfectly.

It doesn't really matter which card you use for the d9200, a bladet64, Rage128 pro, or G400, as you don't need interlace modes for anything.  While it doesn't matter for mame stuff, i put the rage card in so I could do a bit of what I call mega-quaking.

I changed the device_video setting to make it happy with the T64.

I also have a G400 which was so much better with Windows, and great for Advancemame as well.  But it gave me problems with a particular resolution.  A few 15khz, specifically the Neo-Geo and Konami games.  They screen would flicker off and on.  I have no such problem with the T64, and I do find the T64 displays a better quality than the G400 with Advancemame.  It just sux for Windows.

Ya, the G400 has a few querks.  It doesn't support pclocks lower than 7, which is maybe why you had problems with it.  It also doesn't restore the previous modes correctly.  Recent changes to advancemame, however, have made this problematic for a lot of older cards though.  While it's no big deal, it can be kind of annoying.  ATI's Rage 128 pro cards have a tendancy to kick you out to the command line if you tinker with a modeline too much in the advv.exe utility.  Trident's blade doesn't have either of these two loveable problems, which is why I usually recommend it first.  The only thing I don't like about the T64 is its linux support.  Though there has been some recent modifications to the svgalib driver for this card that are quite astounding, the newer driver is still not as good as the older more stable vbeline driver, especially at 15kHz.  I figure when the svgalib driver is running perfectly, this card will be ready for linux. which I'm hoping won't be too long from now.

Again, desmatic, thanks for all the wonderful help you have provided.  Advancemame is running perfectly once again!
