New mame and vector games on arcade monitor
« on: January 10, 2017, 10:04:51 am »
Anyone got some nice mame settings for vector games on an arcade monitor?

I used to run mame104 in my cabinet but after a major upgrade that version does not work anymore.

The latest mame works fine but I have an issue with vector games. In mame104 I specified antialias and a beamwidth 1.6 and it looked really nice in 768x576.

These settings are no longer available and now vector games looks bad. I can't even read the top highscore in asteroids.

I tried to read about hdsl filters but could not work out how to set it up for vector games in 768x576. I already got slow phosphor and my monitor is not flat so all I want is antialiased vectors (and I think the "edge glowing" is bit to strong but that is a minor detail)
