  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Hello.

In first time I want to give my contratulations to Calamity for his great job with this incredible driver.

I'm using Crt_emudriver 2.0, windows 7 x64 and ati hd 4870. In the past i have used the same computer with no problems, but now some taito typeX games and supermodel emulator (model 3), run with slowdown....

I almost sure is a problem with resolutions, maybe interlaced using 30hz instead 60hz or something similar...

I have agreed this resolutions to the driver.-

"640x480_60 15.69KHz 59.98Hz" 13.05 640 664 728 832 480 483 489 523 interlace -hsync -vsync
"2560x240_60 15.66KHz 60.00Hz" 52.12 2560 2664 2912 3328 240 242 245 261 -hsync -vsync
"2560x248_60 16.14KHz 60.00Hz" 54.23 2560 2672 2928 3360 248 250 253 269 -hsync -vsync
"2560x256_58 16.20KHz 58.48Hz" 54.43 2560 2672 2928 3360 256 258 261 277 -hsync -vsync
"2560x264_57 16.20KHz 56.84Hz" 54.43 2560 2672 2928 3360 264 266 269 285 -hsync -vsync
"2560x272_55 16.20KHz 55.29Hz" 54.43 2560 2672 2928 3360 272 274 277 293 -hsync -vsync
"2560x280_54 16.20KHz 53.82Hz" 54.43 2560 2672 2928 3360 280 282 285 301 -hsync -vsync
"2560x288_52 16.20KHz 52.43Hz" 54.43 2560 2672 2928 3360 288 290 293 309 -hsync -vsync

"2560x496_60 16.17KHz 60.00Hz" 54.33 2560 2672 2928 3360 496 499 505 539 interlace -hsync -vsync
"2560x512_58 16.23KHz 58.48Hz" 54.66 2560 2672 2928 3368 512 515 521 555 interlace -hsync -vsync

How I can do for resolve my probem? maybe i coud add some resolution more or do something...

I have reading some old post and try to use d3doverrider but the problems persists....

Thanks.

Edit: I forget to say, everything else works fine (groovymame, model2 emulator if disable vsync, daphne, etc).

Problem is halved speed in interlaced modes, use positive sync with modelines if possible or use any Radeon from HD5xxx or higher serie.

Thanks for your reply. I am not sure about put positive sync... Do you know some documentation about resolution configs?

In other post i have read.-

 monitor_specs0  15625-16200, 49.50-65.00, 2.000, 4.700, 8.000, 0.064, 0.160, 1.056, 0, 0, 288, 400

by

   monitor_specs0  15625-16200, 49.50-65.00, 2.000, 4.700, 8.000, 0.064, 0.160, 1.056, 1, 1, 288, 400

But in this driver, resolution .ini have changed the structure....

Maybe something like that.-

"640x480_60 15.69KHz 59.98Hz" 13.05 640 664 728 832 480 483 489 523 interlace -psync -vsync

or like: "640x480_60 15.69KHz 59.98Hz" 13.05 640 664 728 832 480 483 489 523 interlace -vsync

I'm not sure...

Could you help me? If i cant resolve the problem i will buy another card.

Thanks.

In crt emu folder edit monitor.ini
In desired monitor set change 0, 0, to 1, 1,

Example:
from: monitor "arcade_15", "Arcade 15.7 kHz - standard resolution", "4:3"
        crt_range0 15625-16200, 49.50-65.00, 2.000, 4.700, 8.000, 0.064, 0.192, 1.024, 0, 0, 192, 288, 448, 576

to

monitor "arcade_15", "Arcade 15.7 kHz - standard resolution", "4:3"
        crt_range0 15625-16200, 49.50-65.00, 2.000, 4.700, 8.000, 0.064, 0.192, 1.024, 1, 1, 192, 288, 448, 576

In mame.ini You have to set this mode as well if You have this problem as well.

Change:
monitor                   generic_15
crt_range0                auto

to
monitor                   custom
crt_range0                15625-16200, 49.50-65.00, 2.000, 4.700, 8.000, 0.064, 0.192, 1.024, 1, 1, 192, 288, 448,

Your monitor probably does not work with positive sync. In this case use HD5xxx or above.
