Correct procedure when upgrading GroovyMAME
« on: December 14, 2016, 12:35:06 pm »
Apologies if instructions for this are posted elsewhere...

Been a while since I installed GM on Windows 7 using a HD4xxx.
Everything works as expected but I want to try the latest build over Christmas.
I also have a slightly better card to install HD5450.

What do I need to uninstall first to make everything go as smoothly as possible?
Will I need to plug my computer back into my LED monitor during reinstallation?

Thanks!

Basically uninstall current Emudriver and follow this guide: http://geedorah.com/eiusdemmodi/forum/viewtopic.php?id=301

You'll need to use a PC monitor during the process unless you have previously flashed your card using ATOM-15.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.

Thanks for the speedy response.
Sounds simple enough then. Think I'm just being hesitant about messing with the install.
