JoytoKey questions--Please help
« on: January 21, 2004, 05:12:33 pm »
I am desperately trying to get JoytoKey to work so that MAMEwah is easier to navigate through PC and also it is necessary for me in using the Stuzza--MAME, SDL version of visualboyadvance to remap the keyboard (MAME) keys to joystick so that my joystick works with my gameboy series games.

1)  I use a Playstation 2 to USB adapter (Radio Shack) with a Real Arcade joystick.  I am wondering if JoytoKey works with such a console adapter??  Perhaps I am trying to do something that is not possible.  Anyone else try this?

2)  If so, what exactly do I have to do to get the program to work.  From the initial screen, I can double-click on the keyboard functions listed and another screen pops up--with apparently three different key options and a section for "special key functions".
Or, I can click the auto settings button from the initial screen that allows me to push the joystick button that goes with each function.  I do that and exit, but it doesnt work.
If anyone has some real good tips on this program and exact details on how to get it to remap keyboard functions to a joystick/gamepad, please let me know.
It would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.  I did read the literature with it, but (to me) it wasnt very clear.
Thanks in advance.
