GMame + CRT Emu problem with V-frequency?
« on: November 22, 2016, 01:19:07 pm »
Hello,

in my Cab, I have a Windows XP (32bit) computer with a PCI Radeon 9200 card,
use the CRT Emu driver with GMame... A few weeks ago, I took the computer out of the
cab for maintenance. Threfore I had two display connected:
- AMIGA M1438 (multi sync)
- Flatscreen (TFT)

I only used my standard "cab-res" of 640x480. The M1483 showed a perfect interlaced 15kHz picture,
and I saw the same content via DVI on my flatscreen...

After checking  everything, I hoioked the PC up to the cab again (via J-Pac), but from that point on (I guess something
happened while I attached the DVI), the picture starts to flicker. I already wondered why my SONY PVM
hasnt shon me a clear 15kHz picture.. OK, I took the PC home again, have to test with the SONY PVM
for the 15kHz signal, but with no luck yet. Even when I adjust the "V-Lock", I cannot get a steady picture.
The M1438 monitor still can display it, though. Plus, when the flatscreen is connectde via DVI, the 15kHz
analog picture is more "stable", but still, I cannot gat a steady picture on my PVM... Seems like the vertical
frequency has shifgted, and thge multi sync M1438 can handle it, but so doesnt the arcade monitor nor the SONY PVM.

Any idea where to look afor a solution? I already uninstalled and reinstalled the CRT EMU driver (1.2b) again - no luck.
Plus, I ran the VMaker tool with the setting "GENERIC".

Thanks for help
plx

UPDATE: I set up a completely new system, ZOTAC G-41 mini-ITX, Radeon HD4350
with Windows 7 and the latest CRT Emu package... I followed the guide, and again,
the picture on my M1438 is perfect, on my SONY PVMs I have no sync...

EDIT: OK, theres surely no mixed sync from the graphics card output... still theres the issue
with the cab - in the cab, its the J-Pac that makes a suitable sync signal out of H+V-sync, right?
