Scart to VGA SyncBlaster Cable

Hiya all,

I was browsing Maplin.co.uk and came across a Scart to VGA SyncBlaster Cable , order number A38BF, can anybodytell me if this can be used in anyway with arcade monitors or arcade projector screens ? it sounds like an interesting little cable but im still a bit confused to its use besides use with plasma tv. cheers

It's a cable with a sync seperator in it. This basically means it takes the composite video from the SCART plug and gets the H- and V-sync from it. The seperate H- and V-sync are then sent to the VGA compatible monitor along with the RGB signals.

It is not limited to projectors only. A multisync arcade monitor like the Hantarex Polostar can use this device directly. Most PC monitors cannot though.
