Finally finished my marquee... and the rest of the Artwork
« on: October 05, 2016, 04:47:16 pm »
Update: See below

I finally finished my marquee (nearly).
I just have to decide now if I should remove some elements or change something, so any advice, suggestions or critics will be highly appreciated.

        Here, version #1

Version #2, with "Dirk" on the bottom right corner

Version #3 + Sir Arthur from Ghosts 'n Goblins...

Update:

Ok. I removed a lot of the characters from the marquee, as suggested by Yotsuya, Pbj and Titchgamer (sorry Guys but I have to keep some of them ;) and finished the Sideart, Bezel, Kickplate and Control Panel, so if you have any suggestions or feedback before I send this all for printing...  ;)

Lose all the characters and make the title really stand out.

I agree with yotsuya,  that'll look great without all the characters on it.

The marquee is much better but ime still not sold on the positioning of DK, Mario, Bub & Bob as they look like they are floating there.
Can you intergrate them a little better? Give them a reason to be there or something to sit on?

The rest of the artwork is good.
My only criticism of the CP is it does not look symmetrical (always a prob with lines I guess)
But I think it would benefit from shifting P2 controls a little to the left so the gaps either side are a little more equal.

Obv thats only of the room is available to do it ;)

Thanks again. I moved the p2 joystick as suggested, more to the left (that's the max I can move it without interfering with the spinner or the third joystick) and modified the Artwork a bit.

and as a bonus: Bub & Bob with something to sit on.

(It's only a joke)  ;)

3 8-way joysticks?  or is the third a 4-way?  If 4-way, I would lose the diagonal arrows.
My Projects:
MisSpent Youth a Vigolix bartop,  Little Bastard a rotating tablet/display bartop,
Pin-Dog a mini pin-cab on vpforums.org  Star Wars a wedgehead pincab on vpinball.com

No. There are 2 rotary 8 ways and an 4-8 ways switchable u360.

When designing a custom cabinet, avoid throwing in random characters. Is like driving a Honda civic adding bmw/ Mercedes logos etc. On to the car. Just my two cents.
