Disabling the "There are known problems" MAME message
« on: September 20, 2016, 08:50:04 pm »
I am using HyperSpin with RockerLauncher to launch MAME64 0.175 and several of the ROM's come up with the message "There are known problems with this machine".  In a lot of cases it is simply because the qsound.bin ROM needs to be redumped and nobody seems to be able to do so.

Anyhow, I have read that there were ways to disable this message in the past (though I could be reading that wrong), but I am not seeing any simple way to do so with the 0.175 version.  Can someone tell me if this is possible, and if so, how to go about doing so?  When so many games are having this issue, it is really annoying.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

You need to compile it is believe. Though I've never gotten around to it.

Yes compiling your own allows a patch that puts the option to toggle nag screens in your mame config.

Alternatively, you could run GroovyMAME which has them pre-compiled for you.  But that's opening up another can of worms, since you need to configure your system (CRTemu driver) for GroovyMAME.

Might be worth it in the long run though...  GroovyMAME kicks ass.
