mame hooker

Hi
I'm trying to get hold of name hooker for my cab and cant seam to find a download link anywhere ? Is it a dead project now or can I still use it ? I hoping I can as I want to display my marquees on a second monitor. I remember it being available about a month ago. Cheers with anticipation

The BYOAC forums went down a while back and several arcadecontrols.com subdomains like the File Repository, the wiki, and Howard's Dragon King site (where mamehooker is hosted) are still not operating properly.

I've got a new version practically ready to go.  I was just holding off until Saint finished putting the auxiliary sites back up. 

I can post it now, but I don't have the documentation ready.  Stupid pipe burst today so it killed my entire evening.

Do the tutorials for 5.1 exist anywhere else on the web, or could someone share them with me?
I'm trying to set up my 2nd monitor with Mamehooker 5.1 and I cant get it going.

I would appreciate it if you could post the instructions when you come across them. I'm banging my head against a wall and I feel like I'm sooo close.

I can give you the cliff notes as the html is too hard to post. 

Step 1:  Setup your mame paths in the options menu.  (Self Explanatory)
Step 2:  Modify your display.dis in the displays folder.....  The easiest way to do it is to use the %# for each entry, where "#" is the monitor number you want it to display on. 
Step 3:  Modify your Default.ini in your ini/mame folder.  You want the "MameStart" entry to be "lds marquee" or whatever display file you want to use. 
Step 4:  Remember to modify the paths in the display file if needed.  By default MH looks for them in the "marquees" folder in your mame directory. 

That's all there is to it!  Just remember that you want to setup mame to only use one monitor... if you don't it'll blank out mamehooker.  For those games that use both screens just set it to two.... it won't hurt mamehooker, you just won't be able to see it.

Oh and if you aren't familiar with mame's strange workings, you can copy your mame.ini into the ini folder within mame and rename it to a rom name.  After you do that you can have custom settings for that game.  So you could make one for punchout or arm wrestling and set it to dual monitors.

Very cool. Ill try that out. Cool little program you wrote. I'm now in the process of correcting all the marquee .png names to match the rom names that I'm using.
(Marquee is Rygar.png but I'm using Rygar2 rom. on my frontend)

when the new version will be available? I tried 5.1 and followed the tutorial but can't get dig dug to register any output, do I need at least a device connected?

edit:BadMouth told me that newer mame releases don't have output, which version is reccomended for mamehooker?
