Clean install Groovy Arcade - not saving high scores
« on: September 07, 2016, 01:19:57 pm »
Hi,

My Groovy Arcade install wasn't saving high scores in MAME so I did a clean install using the GroovyArcade live-CD Release 2016 from http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=130667.0 to a new 64Gb USB stick.

Despite the topic saying that the GroovyMAME version is .148u1 it appears to come with .171, don't know if that's important or not!

With my clean install, it still doesn't appear to be saving high scores.  I was testing with the ROM "thunderx.7z", beat the high score (which isn't hard!) then entered my initials.  On exiting and restarting the game, the high score is back to default.

I've checked the mame.ini file and the disable high score patch setting is set to 0.

Any help or tips appreciated!
