need help with sony pvm 2530

I need help with Getting my Sony pvm monitor to work I keep having problems with a split screen everytime I use it I think it's because that it is showing in Progressive and not interlaced I am using a Radeon HD 6970 on with the CRT drivers I think that might be the reason and it keeps showing this a standard VGA resolution and it's just downsizing The Screen if any one could help me that would be very Appreciated
