I don't own photoshop, let me know the file format you can import and in what format the CAD files are, I'd be happy to help.

Would be easier to help you if you just upload the files (either directly here in a zip package or to a DL site like dropbox etc. and post a link) - that way anyone that comes along and has a few minutes could download and convert for you rather than making a commitment to do it and not having the time when they finally get the file !  :dunno

check out "inkscape". it's a free open source program and can open almost anything.

Use Autodesks free TrueView app to view/convert to a suitable format:- http://www.autodesk.com/products/dwg/viewers#

Will try this next.  Thanks!  Thanks all for trying also on your system.  After I get the files converted to Photoshop, I can arrange my graphics, etc. then who should I send to print out?  Do we all mostly go with local UPS/KINKO's stores or >?

Thanks

I tried opening it in Illustrator. It opened but the size was totally screwed. Best to open it in something that deals with CAD files natively.

Here is a list of resources and printers on the board who do artwork... http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,17346.msg1372720.html#msg1372720

Exported from DWG viewer to a .PDF file (IIRC photoshop can import pdf - At least CS5 which I have does !) - Not sure if it exported to proper dimensions so you will need to verify the sizes once you get it into photoshop using the ruler tool.

IF for some reason yours does not have pdf import - let me know what size the side panel is (ie. height and width at largest point and or size of the CP boards) so That I can verify the dimensions and import it to CS5 and save in PSD, png or jpg format for you (let me know what format you want it in.)

I opened it in CS5 and the default size shown is 7.043 inches x 6.045 inches but it can be resized to any size for import - just need to know what size you need it.

Here is a jpg image that I believe should be to size (assuming the button holes are 1 1/8" ) -- I sized it based on one of the button holes and placed the layout in a 48" by 48" canvas  It winds up being a 4+ MB file so too big to upload here so here is a photobucket link for download

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc189/JDFanning_bucket/Bartop%20Layout_zpscrwdcmy0.jpg?t=1468121687

Darn Photobucket resized it from 14400x14400 pixels (300 Pixels per inch x 48 inches ) to 1024x1024  !!

SO here is a 7z package with it full size inside --

Took one more look at the original DWG file and using the measuement tool it showed the dimensions of the Control Panels (2 pieces in layout) as 340mmx450mm so redid the layout to size them properly in mm rather than inches Here is a png of the result which should be to proper size ( also included the 7z file because chances are the png upload will get resized by the forum if not zipped !! )

EDIT : Looks like the forum didn't resize so if you go to the fullsize image below by clicking to get to fullsize and then copy and paste it into Photoshop it should be to correct size. But will leave 7z just in case !
