It's so nice to find an active MAME forum with so much information!

I wanted to share some pics of a cabinet (cocktail) that a buddy and I are just finishing up.

About a year ago, I decided it was time for a proper MAME machine and I wanted to make a 4 player cocktail cabinet that would sit in the back of my theatre room. So I started researching, buying books, reading forums, youtube, etc.

I was about to start mocking up a cabinet in the wood shop at the school I teach at, but I just happened to mention my plans to a longtime friend, who decided he wanted one too. Bonus is, he works at a cabinet shop! So we started with the PacMan PDF plans (that seem to always be floating around the Internet) and he CAD'd them up. Then we added 3&4 players, made it bigger and then had it cut on their CNC.

First prototype was really close, but we tweaked the plans a bit and came out with what you see below. He did an amazing job making these. They are a real piece of furniture to be proud of. I've spent the last couple weeks figuring out the wiring, electronics (which we bought from Ultimarc) and we're almost there!!

We're just waiting on the glass for the top, but mine seems to be working amazingly, 1st time too!! I figured with all those buttons and wires, I'd be doing wiring many times, but I guess I got lucky.

Anyways, here's the pics, hope you enjoy:

I'm not the biggest fan of GIMME ALL THE CONTROLS setups, but I have to commend you for using that particular tone of wood. Very elegant and understood.

Nice job. Beautiful wood. I think I agree with harveybirdman about using black buttons instead of white but this looks like a cabinet to be proud of. :applaud:
