AVRes Question....
« on: June 09, 2016, 09:58:54 am »
Curious if you guys might be of help? I've also sent this to Andy and he forwarded to the software developer...

1. I'm running Windows 7 64Bit
2. I compiled a 64bit version of mame, all went well
3. I have the following folders in the same directory as AVRes (see 'files' image)
4. I launch AVRes.exe, it launches well.
5. I start the process, the .xml compiles in the directory and after about 45 seconds I get the following error (error image) and I'm at a loss.....

See attached for images...

Thoughts?

I had the same issue, you had to set the inipath to "ini" only in your mame.ini

You can also checkout a new one I'm working on here:

http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,150893.0.html

I'm planning to add some code to detect the closest resolution to make it more useful.
I'll try to make it as flexible as possible. For example AVres still generates "hwstretch" which is not valid anymore since then new mame version. That's why I provided text boxes. That way you can put the commands you want.

I'll will post a new version with the Vertical res user configurable

Give it a try!
