hi,
have you tried to install latest driver for your ATI/Nvidia graphic card ?
And maybe latest directx version ?

i don't have a separate graphics card at the moment (though i do have one on the way) i run MAME without issues so it seems that all is working.  i did install latest directx when, upon attempting to first install, i was missing a .dll, which is now resolved.

Your integrated GPU may not be compatible for what Model2 emulator needs ?
I had a similar issue with an old laptop, Demul didn't work because of my GPU, even if MAME was working.

right on, did adding a graphics card fix that issue?  i have a 1 gb ATI R5770 HAwk in the mail on it's way to me, provided i can get the card going, think that could help the issue?

I could not add any card on that (oooold) laptop so I put it aside.
Let us know the results once you get your GPU !

fromt he model 2 guide:

Answer:
Ensure that you have loaded the correct video driver for your graphics card or on-board video controller and that you have set your Windows display properties to 32-Bit in the "settings" tab. Here are some links for ATI and NVIDIA.
For ATI based cards: http://ati.amd.com
For nVidia based cards: http://www.nvidia.com
NOTE: If you are using a notebook, please obtain your drivers from your notebook manufacturer's website. Also try running the emulator in a window, or if you are running in fullscreen mode, try changing to a lower resolution setting by clicking on Video - Fullscreen Resolution and work your way lower.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.

thanks!  i will double check all of that, although i'm fairly certain i have the correct driver, and i did see a google doc on the model 2 that wrote about the 32 bit setting, which i checked the other day and it was in that setting.

could there be any issue in the settings text file?  all i've changed is the rom folder location.  when you mention changing the screen resolution, you are speaking about in the windows settings and not in the model 2 menus, correct?

in mameplus! i had to select a display setting for it to run (i can't think of it now, i can check in the program) but i seem to be unable to find a similar options menu in model 2, i'm not sure if anything has a common thread between the two?

guys thank you all for all your help, i know i'll eventually get it running but in the meantime it's so frustrating, so all you help is SOOO appreciated.  i'll check on the above things today

What is the game in question? Maybe try finding another copy of the rom?

Other than that...try running the emulator in admin mode, that and extracting a fresh copy of the emu to a new folder just to rule out you accidentally changing something.

hi, it's every single game.  all i've tried because i wanted to play, others selected at random.  i've tried various versions of the emulator, and the current one i have came packaged with all proper roms.  everything is the same, no change whatsoever

that's the thing, i'm not sure.  even opening it up, i can't exactly what it is.  it's a stock card for a lenovo thinkcentre m72e.  on their site when one puts in the model, it will give you drivers for either everything or specifics in what you are looking for, and thats what i grabbed

uninstall the driver (right click in device manager, uninstall) , reboot, let windows pick the correct driver, and see what happens. You did get the drivers for an Intel HD Graphics 2500, right?

Just checking u have removed the ; from in front of your roms directory file location, in your settings file. it's still showing the ";" in front of your settings you posted. Which means it's only a comment.

This line is used by Model2 only to add additionnal rom folders, it's not active by default and written as it as an example when Model2 generate the ini file for the first time
rushfanyyz would have a very different message ("rom not found" like mesage) if this was the issue  :(

hey guys, been out of touch.  got very busy and no time to focus on this.  well, still really don't have time now but i made some.  realized there was another M2 emulator out there (i was using nebula)  low and behold, i tried the other one, and it works!  i'm also running supermodel as well, working on configuring demul.  only issue i'm having w M2 now is properly configuring daytona controls to my steering wheel/pedals.  trying to get force feedback, and sequential shifting.  sequential shifting works great in supermodel, does it work in M2?  i have an up/down shifter on my wheel i'd love to use.  any tips on that and getting force feedback to work?

in supermodel i know jurrasic park lost world is compatible, but the emulator crashes each time i try to load it.  tried a few different roms.

Hello,

I have the same error but I cannot find any other M2 emulator. Which one are you talking about?

Thanks
