Hi,
I am a newbie and came across this great site. I need some serious advice from some of you pros out there. I searched the forums and never really found the answers to what I'm looking for. I hope that this hasn't been covered before. Thanks a lot for your help.
I am in the process of building a cabinet. I want it to run MAME 32 along with several console emulators including NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Atari, Colecovision, Neo Geo, Game Gear, Sega Master System, N64, Daphne. Now here's the decision I have to make:
1. Use cabinet's existing 25" arcade monitor (I don't know what model or wattage), or
2. Scrap it and use a PC monitor.
My question is, is there a way to run all of these emulators, and games correctly on an arcade monitor? I'm worried the arcade MAME games will look good, but the console games with have problems displaying properly.
I've heard about the Arcade VGA card, but don't know if this would help in this case. Please help.
I want to use the arcade monitor, but want the cabinet to be able to play both arcade and console game emulations
Thanks for your time.
Jason
