groovymame and lcd arcade monitors

 I wanted to know if grovvymame will work on a cga,ega,vga lcd arcade monitor.
I am more interested in the refresh rates than how the games look. Will arcade_15_25_31 work the same as with a crt. Will I have no scream tearing, or ghosting. I know the games will not look the same as crt; but with software scanlines, crt shaders it will look close enough. Is there anybody that has lcd arcade monitor with groovymame. I don't see many reviews on these types of monitor. Since crt are impossible to find new. LCD arcade monitor are the monitors we have left.
