Miniature Mortal Kombat Completed
« on: May 14, 2016, 09:08:24 pm »
I am in the process of building a write up and build process for my miniature machines. But i would like to finally post them. A lot of work (for me atleast) went into these. Making everything fit inside a tiny space.. having only 1 power plug power multiple things of different power requirments. I learned a lot making these. I will soon update all of my posts with my actual build journal.

This is my miniature MK 1. Running off of a pi 2, with a 9" lcd screen. Custom power supply. Plays great, looks and sounds great.

I'm not too crazy about the shape of these things.  Doesn't look too authentic.  Otherwise they're kinda cool.

I like the overall look of this. However, one very minor nitpick is the start button. I think the control panel would look less noisy if the start button was a solid orange or some other darker color.  You already have "START" right next to the button and so the person icon on the button doesn't convey any new information. Also, the person icon is useful when there are two buttons to select single vs two player start options. Anyway, looks great!

this was the type of screen used, but they are all chinese made basically and are all the same.. ive ordered from multiple sellers and even microcenter has sainsmart brand ones.. but they are all basically all the same, with different cables to connect to the driver board.. some are thin wires great for positioning, while some are super crappy ribbons.. ive broken them by barely moving them so use caution
