Bally Midway Cabinet... 0.01% Complete
« on: May 12, 2016, 10:03:19 am »
OK so once again a new summer in the UK means we get maybe 5 days in total of sunshine! So lets see if we can get everything we need to get going.

First plans... we need to build a cabinet, but which one?!? Going through old games I use to play at arcades I would like to try and make a dedicated cabinet of a Midway classic..

I have looked on the internet and found the cabinet... that's the 0.01% Complete!

I now need someone who owns one of these cabinets to help me get the measurements. It does seem very similar to a PACMAN but with a straight angle on the side profile and the screen more angled.

I'm also not sure the official name of these cabinets but seems to have been used for a couple of Bally Midway games such as:
  • Domino Man
  • Journey
  • Bump'N'Jump

I have added some pictures below if anyone can help me.

Looks like a Stargate cab. I've always wanted to do a multi-Williams type cab some day. I'm watching this one. Good luck with your build. Hopefully someone can help with the measurements you need.

You're not building a Nintendo cabinet?  :o

Good luck with this! How faithful will your build be to the original cabinet?
