I've looked a few other threads about how to have Groovymame use your own Arcade OSD tweaked modelines rather than what Groovymame generates for each game.
And from those threads I've heard that you set Modeline Genrator from 1 to zero. That's what I did only at first, then opening Groovymame gave me the error "Switchres couldn't find the right res for specs",
and it opened without showing anything besides a blackscreen, I could still use it but blindly (I heard sounds of arcade games as I pressed buttons)

Then I noticed below there was a -modeline option, so I went to my modelines list in the folder where Arcade OSD and VMMaker were, copied the modeline I wanted to use that I tweaked (2560x240), and pasted it into that -modeline option. Same result.

Then I noticed in OSD Full Screen options there was a Switchres option, I set that to zero while the other 2 changes were as they were, same result.

I can't tell if I've ran into a bug, or if I just need to learn more about how to do this. I attached the Mame.Ini where I left it at if anyone wants to look at it.

If you use an explicit -modeline option, you must have -modeline_generation enabled. Anyway, please guys post logs instead of/in addition to inis.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.

Oh, sorry about that. I'll definitely do that next time.

And thanks again for your help.

Ok, now I've taught my self some things.
About using the modeline option, I took that modeline that I used out of the modeline text file in the folder with Arcade OSD and vmmaker, because I was pretty sure that it was where the installed modelines were kept, but when I used it in Groovymame with the Modeline Generator at 1 and the modeline at that modeline I noticed everything was the same, even though I tweaked that modeline in Arcade ODS to fit my screen. So then I decided to look at that modeline in Arcade OSD, and that's around when I learned how modelines are read, I noticed the numbers in there were different, so I copied those numbers down, went back to the modeline option in the Mame.Ini, replaced the numbers in that modeline that were there in Arcade OSD, tried Groovymame again. And finally succeeded in getting Groovymame to use my tweaked modeline that way basically.

So this brings up another question, when you tweak a modeline in Arcade OSD, and save changes, where are the *tweaked* modelines saved to? (Though, I could live with doing things the way as mentioned above)

Also, not that this is completely necessary anymore I guess, but is there any explanation to why I would get the switchres error when Modeline Generator is set to 0 with no modeline attached (set to auto)?
Wasn't sure if it was somehow supposed to automatically find my custom modelines, or if I need to connect them.
But if I can just place multiple modelines in the modeline option with ; or something like that and it'll work and Groovymame will pick which one it needs for the game, than I probably don't need to worry about that.

I'll try to obtain the log and post it (Windows Event Viewer, right?)
