XP - missing wmasf.dll
« on: April 22, 2016, 06:04:48 pm »
Just installed my regular Tiny XP/MALA/GroovyMAME setup on a newly acquired PC and am getting a missing wmasf.dll error upon MALA startup. Pressing enter afterwards lets me continue with no problem. Any ideas of how I can get this error sorted? Had a look online and most search results look like malware.

WMASF.dll looks to be a part of the Windows Live movie maker files --- since you are using Tiny XP it has probably been removed from the install files to conserve space (thus the name TINY  :dunno )-- either install Windows Media player which will install the file or copy\paste the dll from another system that has it installed and place in the c:\windows\system32\ folder.
