GM.169 issue
« on: April 17, 2016, 09:19:57 am »
Hi guys,
So i haven't updated to the latest yet, but not too far behind.
I HAVE updated to CRT drivers 2.0

I went to play some games today, and noticed that slapfight seems to have audio issues (sounds sort of play twice/echo)
Also i noticed that Slapfight doesn't run at the correct res or speed. Log attached..

Snow Bros doesn't get sync, however Snow Bros 2 does.. (didn't get a log for this yet)

Seems to be the same whether i use d3d or d3d9ex

And i forgot to grab my mame.ini too

using the ms9 preset for 15k only.

Any ideas?

By any chance, did you enable frame delay in mame.ini instead of doing it per game?
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.

tried creating a new mame.ini just in case i'd done something wrong and it still does the same thing
Only thing i changed in the mame.ini was my monitor profile, and rom location and enabled MT

But Snow Bro's gets sync now, so all good there, but Slap fight is still running wrong...

Might have to enable triplebuffering? But isn't that enabled automatically when you use MT ?

I should just get my vertical cab running properly as it runs correctly in vertical mode..

Yes, you need to enable triple buffering if running a 288 line vertical game on a standard 15kHz horizontal monitor.
