Hy Everyone,
I saw that many monitor are flat Crt and I asked you the effective difference from a classic CRT. A part of the form, the image quality is the same? (scanlines, resolution, hz, 4:3, etc). Thank you very much

there is a slight difference between tube monitors but very unnoticeable.
there are really 3 types of CRT tubes
regular tubes
dynaflat or "nearflat" tubes
trueflat or "superflat" tubes
regular is the regular curved tube that you normally see in classic machines. it has a rounded front
dynaflat also known as nearflat usually has a much flatter front than a conventional old style tube. but still has slight bow to the front.
a trueflat also known as superflat is about as straight a front as you can get.
picture quality wise, they have their differences. a dynaflat and trueflat tube have some linearity issues due to the dynamics of the particle stream that make the picture. often lots of picture tweaking tricks goes on to make the image perfect and this is often microprocessor controlled. where a conventional curved tube just deals with the picture distortion in a simpler way. if the picture isn't adjusted properly the picture on the flatter tubes can look distorted.
in a properly configured and adjusted monitor, all 3 will look fine.
as far as resolution goes, there aren't many options other than low (under 480 lines of resolution) CRT's are starting to get replaced by flat panel displays and are only used in optical gun games now.
if you are interested in CRT monitor for arcade, you may be out of luck. CRT's have been out of production many years now. they are near impossible to find new... and used CRT's are often damaged...often in a way not repairable.

So, We can say that for having a perfect image in 15 khz the best would be a classic curved crt. Thank you.
I have only another doubt. What is the difference about a multy sinc monitor and tri-sync monitor? Sorry, but I'm a newbie

a multi sysnc would be microprocessor controlled. when switching video modes, each mode has specific picture settings. these are stored and recalled when switching modes.
a tri sync, while will do multiple resolutions (typically standard medium and high resolution ( CGA EGA VGA or 15k 25k 31k) it's adjustments will be for only one resolution. (usually with pots) so you can get VGA to look nice, those adjustments will need to be made when switching to CGA or EGA resolutions.
if you plan of frequently switching modes i would get a multisync. if you are sticking to one resolution, you can get away with a trisync.
