LEDBlinky button color issue
« on: March 22, 2016, 04:59:22 pm »
So, to start off I just recently bought LEDBlinky and am currently in the process of getting the colors of the buttons set up.  I have gone through the InputMap setup as per the instructions and have all of the buttons properly mapped to their corresponding keystrokes.  They have also been triple checked to make sure that all of the buttons are setup properly both in wiring and programming. The buttons all light up using the LEDTest that comes with the program as well as having the proper RGB values when going through the ports.

The issue is that when I fire up Hyperpsin, the P1B2 button seems to be coded to the P2 joystick.  For example, when playing Leonardo in TMNT P1B1 properly shows as blue while P1B2 shows up as orange.  Now, checking the colors.ini all of Leo's buttons are properly input as blue as well as P2 being orange, however when I change the P2 joystick to blue, P1B2 changes color to blue.

If this were the only game affected I would simply leave that as the fix and be done, however, it also seems to be affecting Xmen and putting P1's buttons as Blue/Red/Red instead of Blue/Yellow/Red.  What's weirder is that the D&D games show all 4 players button colors correctly, including P1.

Any insights people can offer would be greatly appreciated.  I just can't figure out why that one button seems to be screwy.  For what it's worth, P2 Joystick is a U360 so it isn't even bound to any keys.

Figured it out.  It had to do with key mappings in Mame.  Apparently I had some of the buttons double mapped and LEDBlinky was pulling from the other mapping.
