Being from the 8Bit, 16Bit area I'm loading my Cabinet with emulations such as the C64 and the Amiga. One thing i never owned was a CD32 so i thought i would set this up in my cab. This is how i did it and hopefully might help someone else out.
First off get you roms and stick them in a folder somewhere now install Winuae the Amiga emulator. Now get your Amiga Kickstarts (make sure you have the CD32 one) and put them in a folder with the emulator.
Now fire up Winuae in the paths set the system roms path to your kickstart folder (Winuae will check what you have) and set the configurations path to somewhere.I just use the configuration folder in the Winuae program folder just to keep things tidy.
Now go to the quickstart tab and select CD32 as model and CD32 (FMV optional if you have the kickstart) as the configuration. Change everything else as you need such as full screen in the display options and for the game ports I set port one as my mouse as I'm testing my setup at the minute and then set port 2 as the controller i'm using and set it as a CD32 pad and i also have auto switching selected. Leave the disc image section empty as well.
Once setup go to the configurations page. I set the name to CD32.UAE added a description and saved in the configuration folder. Now close Winuae and reopen go to the configuration page click once on your saved config and click load. Now check all your settings and make sure they are set as you put them for the configuration.
Some people say they have had trouble with Winuae not saving Input options etc. I had this but it turns out it was Windows. Winuae looked like it saved my file and does not display overwrite/permissions message. So turn of UAC or use save as and save the configs somewhere like your desktop and then manually copy into your folder. If everything OK you can click start and you will be greeted with the CD32 boot screen. Now quit the emulator.
Now start Maximus preferences select a emulator that you are not going to use and point it at the Winuae Exe file. Set your Rom folder and snaps etc. Now in the command line section type this:
winuae.exe -f CD32.uae -G -s quickstart=cd32,0 -cdimage="%file"
This tells Winuae to start using fullscreen and with the CD32 configuration you setup and tells Maximus to use the games full path for the CD image. Set the scan section to look for the file type. Mine are all zip files that contain the ISO a cue sheet and any of the CD music files the game uses. So i set scan to just .zip. Add the emulator to the display list and exit and test from within Maximus.
If everything OK you can change the emulators picture and name to CD32 using the skin editor. Hopefully this will be helpful to someone. If you need any clarification, pictures etc just message me.
