Howler information request
« on: February 24, 2016, 09:47:33 am »
Hi people,

I'm looking to support the howler board in RGBcommander but I have trouble finding the vendor id as I don't know anybody who has such a board.
I know 4 boards are supported Device IDs 0x6800-0x6803 but what's the vendorID ? I can't contact the manufacturer for some reason...
If someone would be willing to share that info - and any other info, whatever...  - about the interface(s) it has etc that would be cool...

regards.

Working on setting up my first arcade-machine at the moment, and bought the howler from the kickstarter.

Setting it up with RetroPie i soon noticed the problem with support for the howler.

Found your RGB commander, and was hoping i could use it, but noticed the missing howler-support.
Not sure if you'll see this, but according to https://github.com/Mokosha/libhowler i believe the vendor id is 03eb  (Atmel Corp.)

Not so used to Linux, but I get the same result when i run the commands, and that driver works.
If you need me to do anything to test i'd be happy to help you :)

I wouldn't bother adding support as they appear to no longer manufacture them.
