I want to be able to, once MAMEwah is initially loaded, to use my controller and joystick to move up and down the gamelist and to load games, along with bring up the menu.  Basically the joystick would move the gamelist(ie left and right gamelist jumps 25 games, up and down to go game by game) and a button on the controller would load the game and another button would bring up the MAMEwah menu system.  I know that some have recommended JoytoKey for these functions.  I tried it, but unsuccessfully--perhaps I was not doing it right.  Does anyone have MAMEwah setup so that the controller controls all these functions or know how to do it?  Are there other programs that would work better or easier??  A detailed description of how to accomplish this would be GREATLY appreciated.  Even though I dont have the cabinet setup yet, I want to rely on the keyboard as little as possible and not at all when MAMEwah is started if that is possible.
Thanks.

I have used JotToKey in the past with MAMEWAH, so it should work.

I can't give you a detailed description as I don't have it installed atm, but it was pretty straightforward.  Just map the joystick directions (& buttons) to the keys which MAMEWAH uses - ie cursors by default + 1 + 2 etc.

I think it comes with documentation, or there is docs on the site so read through that if you still have problems...

I just built my little brother a cab for Christmas with a gamepad hack controlling MAMEWAH through JoytoKey...works perfectly!  ;)

Spaced Invader,

I feel faily dumb in this case, but I am using a Radio Shack Playstation 2 to USB adapter with the Pelican Accessories Real Arcade stick and am trying to get JoyToKey to work.  I am using the latest version, 3.74, if that matters.  But basically, can you give a short, little tutorial to setting some keyboard keys to work on a joystick just to see what I can possible be doing wrong?  I want the arrows on the keyboard to be controlled by the joystick and also the "1" key, for MAMEwah, to be controlled by a button on the controller, along with "2" or other keyboard buttons used by MAMEwah.  The only thing that seems to work is the auto setting button with says hit which button to be up, down, etc. and you hit the corresponding button, but it doesnt register anywhere.  Anyway, just  a simple direction would be great to actually get control of MAMEwah with a controller.
Thanks for the help.
