UMSA interference when powered from PC PSU

Long time ago I've discovered strange thing with UMSA interface powered from PC PSU. There some interferences/noise when hard disk is working. I've tried swap hard disk but still the same, also I connected UMSA and hard disk on different cables and still the same. Since I didn't have at a time different PSU switching PSU was not tested. Anyone had similiar issue?

pc components are causing electrical distortions . try external psu for the umsa .

It working fine for with external PSU but I need to reduce number of cables and free some power sockets. I guess I have to check myself on new PC how it behaves right now.

Re-tested - still the same problem even with solid PSU.

I don't mean to take over your thread at all, and I know it may be slightly old but I have a similar problem, and I'm thinking it may be caused by the same thing: power related

In my set up, I have my computer hooked up to a CRT TV with VGA to Scart cable (Which I think is where the problem is) plugged into Scart to Component Transcoder pluged into the TV with good quality component cables.

My VGA to Scart cable is from a Spanish Ebay seller

As you can see, it's powered by molex, so I provide it with a molex from my computer.

So anyway, about the type of interference I'm getting... I didn't notice it at first, and I was really enjoying how good everything looked, but ended up spotting it after a little while. Again, besides this it works fine and everything looks awesome where ever it's not covering. There's 2 minor, separate 1/2 inch tall lines of fuzz slowly going up then when they reach the top, they reappear from the bottom and this repeats. It's been bugging  me since I first noticed it.

I will try to take and upload a video of it, if it can detect it because like I said, it's kind of minor. But so far, anyone have any advice? I don't blame the software, because absolutely none of it is making it better or worse at all, nor the transcoder because I tried a cheap Chinese snes scart cable with my SNES and it did not have this problem. Would it be possible for me to simply open the cable and replace the sliver connector in the front with gold one and/or add extra shielding to the wires to help? Though, seeing this thread is making me think it's because I'm forced (as far as I know) to use the molex from the power supply, anybody know a way around that, and if it should help?
