Med to Standard Res blowing fuses
« on: December 30, 2015, 12:51:40 pm »
I know it is not typical to convert med res games to standard, but I have a Blitz 200/Showtime arcade that I just simply cannot get to work!

I have had two local arcade guys and an old school TV repair guy out to the house and the best they could gather is that the monitor is simply dead. This machine does have the dip for standard res and I have tested it.

Put the standard arcade cab (a MK/Ultimate MK3 bastardized cab) and blitz back to back and basically just plugged the board into the standard chassis and powered em both on. Worked no problemo! Decided to go ahead and just swap the entire monitor chassis from the MK into the blitz.

I honestly though it would be as easy as swapping em (both 25" Midway), wiring up the black/white/green power cord and plugging in the rgb signal connector. Did all this, but the 2A 250V fuse on the monitor chassis blows IMMEDIATELY upon being fired up. I am no expert electrician but I do own a voltmeter and somewhat understand the very basics if someone could point me where to get started!
