Golden tee 2005 k7500 sync problem
« on: December 17, 2015, 11:33:37 pm »
I have a strange problem with the monitor that I have found others have had also, unfortunately I could not find what the solution was. My monitor has a sync issue with the squiggly lines when I first turn on the machine, then if I unplug the power to the chassis while powered up and then plug the power plug back in it will work fine. Then when I kill power to the game and turn it back on its back to the same sync issue again until I disconnect and reconnect. Anyone know what this is? Again I have seen others with this exact problem in my google searching.

I had the exact same issue on a friends unit, but I ended up giving up and going the LCD route. I'm sure someone here can help, I am just beginning. Maybe caps? That seems to be the answer to everything.

I'm surprised nobody has chimed in, did you find a solution yet?

main B+ filter cap issue maybe? not sure of the number or value (like 100 or 200uf 200V) but it's positioned behind the flyback when viewed from the backside (ac input on left ...video input on right flyback in the middle)

causes all kinds of wierd issues.

Thanks for the replies, i was losing faith in getting someone to help. I haven't done anything with it yet. Been cold and I haven't felt like messing around in the garage. How do I test the filter cap? If the UF tests good is it ok? I have a cap kit that doesn't include that one.

it should include it.

the great big cap on the side is the main power filter cap. it very rarely needs replacing.

the B+ filter cap in kinda in the middle of the board. it gets stressed out pretty hard and runs pretty hot.
