Vertical Adjustment On A Nanao KB240331D/MC2000-S?
« on: November 27, 2015, 12:20:47 am »
Hi All,

Please excuse my ignorance, I am fairly new to the world of arcade machines.

I recently picked up an old arcade cabinet and have got most of the issues sorted out apart from the vertical adjustment on the monitor.  I have installed a Jamma 60 in 1 board which is working fine.  The cabinet has a Nanao KB240331D/MC2000-s chassis which is working but I dare say could do with a cap kit.  I need to reduce the vertical size of the picture but the vertical H pot has a totally different looking pot on it and I am wary about fiddling around with it until I get some guidance.

How do you adjust the vertical height on this type of chassis?  Is there a special little tool required, do you simply put a screwdriver up into the tube or is there no adjustment possible?

Thanks in advance.

Yep I am pretty sure that sounds right.  It is more of a cylinder which is several cm's long as opposed to the regular white pots for all of the other adjustments.  Now to source one here in Australia.

Thanks very much!

Anyone have any idea where I could get one of the plastic hex trim tool please?  It would need to be posted to Australia.

Thanks.

If Mouser or another electronic supplier doesn't have them, you might be able to 3D-print one like this. (not sure if the size is right  :dunno)
